2001年8月,Tom.com宣布,以总代价2.9亿元,收购国内五家户外媒体广告公司,连同该公司先前收购的上海美亚文化及昆明风驰明星,估计今年来自户外广告的收益将高达3.5亿元,约占国内户外广告市场5%。TOM行政总裁王兟表示,目前为该公司投资高峰期,今后仍会继续物色收购项目。王兟在接受媒体采访时表示,关于体育产业及网上广告业务则暂不会有新收购行动。
In August 2001, Tom.com announced that the acquisition of five outdoor media advertising companies in China with a total consideration of 290 million yuan, together with the company’s previously acquired Shanghai Meiya Culture and Kunming Fengchi celebrities, estimated that the revenue from outdoor advertising this year will be as high as 350 million yuan, accounting for about 5% of the domestic outdoor advertising market. Wang Tuan, chief executive of TOM, said the company is currently investing in the peak period, the future will continue to look for acquisitions. In an interview with the media, Wang Kui said that there will be no new acquisition of the sports industry and online advertising business.
