在我们伟大的人民共和国成立40周年前夕,周朝民、庄辉明、李向平编著的《中国史学四十年(1949—1989》一书,由广西人民出版社正式出版了。时隔数月,书目文献出版社也推出了由肖黎主编的《中国历史学四十年》。这两部书名几乎完全相同的著作在南北两地的相继问世,反映出史学界回顾、反思建国以来史学发展历程的强烈愿望。后顾为了更好地前进,反思为了未来。毫无疑问,这两部著作的出版,应该引起史学界的重视。事实也确是如此。《中国历史学四十年》出版后的情况暂置勿论,这里仅说《中国史学四十年》。据笔者所知,该书出版仅数月,已经受到了海内外学者的关注和欢迎。原来颇使作者为难的包销任务,短短几月就已基本完成;海外学者也纷纷来函来
On the eve of the 40th anniversary of the founding of our great People’s Republic, Zhou Chumin, Zhuang Hui-ming and Li Xiang-ping published the book “Forty Years of Chinese History (1949-1989)” officially published by Guangxi People’s Publishing House.
