Patients who choose screening programs provided by private health institutions, such as scanning and genetic testing, will bring unnecessary risks to themselves and will not benefit their health. This is a warning from the briefing by the BMA Science Department. Many people have not been accused of potential risks prior to testing, such as whole body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or prostate cancer-specific antigen testing. Calls on the government to pay attention to the problems caused by the non-standard screening of the regular screening programs of the NHS. It is estimated that the private screening in the United Kingdom last year cost 65 million pounds (US$117 million, 95 million euros).
