五强溪水电厂远动装置采用“邮箱”形式。五厂运行参数在邮箱内经过规约格式转换后,再送往远方调度自动化系统,实现遥测、遥信、遥调等功能。邮箱作为计算机监控系统与远方调度自动化系统通讯的接口装置,具有硬件结构简单、价格低、扩容方便、可靠性高等一系列特点。邮箱代表新一代软远动装置,能够完全实现其远动功能,将在以后得到不断完善和发展。
