六盘水地区的13个含煤盆地具有丰富的天然气资源；天然气主要储集于煤岩及致密砂岩之中；发育两套大的生储盖组合；多种圈闭类型并存；保存条件较好。综合上述特征分析评价表明：亦资孔、格木底、岩脚盆地为Ⅰ类天然气远景区；六枝、郎岱盆地为Ⅱ类天然气远景区；其余8个盆地为Ⅲ类天然气远景区。
The 13 coal-bearing basins in Liupanshui area are rich in natural gas resources; natural gas is mainly stored in coal and tight sandstone; two large reservoir-cap assemblages are developed; various trap types coexist; and the preservation conditions are good. According to the above characteristics analysis and evaluation, it shows that Yizhikong, Gemudi, and Footwell Basin are Class Ⅰ natural gas prospect areas; Liuzhi and Langdai Basin are Class Ⅱ natural gas prospect areas; and the remaining 8 basins are Class Ⅲ natural gas prospect areas.
