连云港市东海县不仅以水晶闻名全国,还以盛产稻谷而蜚声大江南北。然而有谁知道,这个占地2000多平方公里、人口超百万的大县,长期以来,玉米、小麦、水稻亩产仅在二三百斤之间徘徊。而今东海县粮食产量已有大幅度的提高,农民已摘掉贫困的帽子,正大步迈向小康。过去的已经成为历史,此时人们会情不自禁地想起了为东海县农业生产作出过特殊贡献的人——连云港市政协常委、农学博士、东海县人民政府副县长王夫玉。
