高适(704—765),字达夫,渤海蓨(今河北沧县)人。青年曾两度到长安求官、应试,失意而返,在梁、宋一带“混迹渔樵”十几年。在此期间,曾与盛唐两位大诗人李白、杜甫相遇,一起在齐赵一带饮酒游猎赋诗。近50岁时,经人推荐,中有道科,被授封邱县尉的小官。后弃官去河西,节度使哥舒翰表为掌书记,安史乱起后升任彭、蜀二州刺史,西川节度史,在散骑常侍官位上病逝长安。
