花腰傣文化保护区位于玉溪市新平彝族傣族自治县大槟榔园村。全村58户,299人,人均耕地面积1.13亩,2003年人均收入1488元。村寨依山傍水,森林覆盖率达90%以上。大槟榔园村寨布局及土掌房(傣家土楼)民居保持传统风貌,土木结构的土掌房占全村总数的86.1%。传统手工制作工艺传承良好。大槟榔园编制竹具很普遍,榨红糖历史悠久,现在仍然保留着土法榨糖的传统方法。传统生产生活习
