在单片机等微处理机系统的开发应用中,存储地址与指令/数据多用16进制代码来表示,这就经常需要16进制的显示器。然而,符合显示要求(0~9,A~F)的成品译码器几乎没有,用普通数字电路实现约需要6~7块芯片。由于PLD器件的编程开发已日臻成熟,仅采用一片16V 8A型GAL芯片即能完成上述功能。另外,由于GAL输出宏单元的低电平驱动电流可达到近30mA,故可以用来直接驱动普通的7段共阳级LED数码管,电路简洁,工作可靠并且还可以加密。
