Professor Richard P. Wennberg, a professor of pediatrics at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, came to Changzhou in September 1987 to give a lecture on neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage. 1. Infarct damage neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage often part of ischemia and hypoxia exist. Complete ischemia is found only during cardiac arrest. Severe hypotension can cause insufficient blood flow to the infarct state. Infarction of full-term infants often occurs in the parietal lobe, the performance of the typical upper limbs and shoulder muscle tone is weak and varying degrees of mental retardation. Immature children often periventricular white matter softening, manifested as spastic paraplegia lower limbs.
