第一次参战1949年夏,解放大军过了长江,国民党广州卫戍区司令李及兰的残余部队想借道斗门逃窜至海南岛。我珠江纵队独立团第四营(下称部队)接上级命令,前往斗门镇截住该残余部队,并就地擒拿迫其投降。我部队采取声东击西的办法:目标是斗门镇,转个大弯路经南山村,以汇合南山村的地方武装,出发到斗门镇,与地下组织人员共同完成此任务。部队从龙坛据点行军到南山村,一路只闻小虫唧唧叫,萤火虫飞来飞去,寂静一片,伸手不见五指。行军约一个小时,队伍突然停了下来,不少战士以为就地站着休息,开始打盹。15分钟
