不怕走“贺”荣智健1942年出生于上海的巨富家庭,他的父亲荣毅仁在建国后曾任卜海市副市长、纺织工业部副部长。荣智健是含着银钥匙长大的,他念中学时就拥有一辆自己的英产跑车,他在天津大学求学期间是出名的阔绰公子。“文化大革命”爆发后,他的父亲成为了专政对象,而荣智健则被发配到凉山的一个小水电站做苦工。他后来曾回忆道:这段生活使我得益匪浅。1978年,荣智健凭单程签证投奔香港的亲戚,并邀请他在香港的堂弟合伙开办电子厂。他出任厂长,仅6年的功夫,他的资产已逾4亿港元。他把这段生活看作验证自己是不是资本家的儿子,他成功了,他认为自己“配做资本家的儿子”。

He later recalled: this life benefited me. In 1978, Rong Zhi-heng went to his relatives in Hong Kong on a one-way visa and invited his cousin in Hong Kong to set up an electronics factory. He served as director, only 6 years of martial arts, his assets have more than 400000000 dollar. He regarded this life as the son of a capitalist who proved himself successful. He considered himself “to be the son of a capitalist.”
