提起蔡伦,人们自然会想到造纸术的发明,然而抚顺市京剧团演出的《蔡伦》,让人们看到的却不仅仅是一个作为科学家的蔡伦。正如剧作者毛鹏在这出戏的题记中所说:“蔡伦作为一个伟大的造纸发明家举世闻名,但作为一个命运悲惨的阉官却鲜为人知,本剧力图写这一个人。”这,不能不说是一种颇具艺术家眼光的选材角度,因为,饱经沧桑之后,面对纷繁的历史事件,艺术家们更关心的还是人和人自身的命运。当然,一个新的选材角度,还只是一个好的创作起点,一出戏的最终效果,还要看创作者开掘题材、塑造人物时的意旨和深度。
