The proposed J-value method is a new phase-by-phase method for X-ray diffraction. Each measurement requires the preparation of a sample line consisting of two mixed samples. In both mixed samples, there are four diffraction peaks for the reference material and the phase to be measured. The intensity ratio between them is J value. When sample conditions are fixed, the value of J is only related to the percentage content of the test phase in the test sample. The method draws on the K value method and the advantages of incremental method, and the ratio of the two mixed samples were optimized, the measurement under the best conditions. The effects of texture and microabsorption can deviate the measured values of strength. Other methods must make some corrections to the strength, and the main feature of this method is that these corrections can be avoided. K value method is a special case of this method. The result of two verifications shows. This method is quite accurate.
