孝昌历史悠久,区位优越。孝吕始建于南北朝刘宋时期(公元454年),是孝子孟宗故里,因“民风淳朴、孝子辈出、孝道昌隆”而得名。孝昌地处大别山南麓、江汉平原北部,位于武汉城市圈核心圈层,是国家新一轮扶贫开发重点县,省委省政府确立的第二轮扩权县、湖北省武汉城市圈两型社会建设试验区和大别山革命老区经济社会发展试验区。全县国土面积1217平方公里,总人口67万。境内京广铁路、京港澳高速、107国道纵贯南北,福银高速、省道大天线横跨东西,交通十分便捷。
Xiaochang has a long history and superior location.
