大新县1980年带虫发病率已降至0.57‰。以中华按蚊为主要媒介的地区,只发现间日疟患者,残存病灶点甚少,病例呈散在性分布;以微小按蚊为主要媒介的地区,发现间日疟患者和恶性疟患者,残存病灶点较多,病例较集中。1980年起在病灶点内采取室内DDT喷洒和全面开展疟疾监测,防治效果显著。1983年后全县年带虫发病率降至0.1‰以下,恶性疟已基本消灭,间日疟呈高度散发,三日疟仅偶见于输血感染。该县灭疟后期发病率的下降与开展灭疟后期的监测管理、清除残存病灶点和加强群众性防蚊措施等有关。
