本文是以《三国史记·地理志》对原高句丽部分郡县名称的记载,对照《新增东国舆地胜览》中与此有关的地名沿革,考证出鸭绿江、图们江以南高句丽旧域南半部的绝大部分高句丽郡县今地的位置.从而为判定高句丽南部疆域及南界奠定了历史地理的基础。
