本世纪初,河南考古工作者在对三门峡庙底沟遗址进行大规模考古发掘时,发掘清理了一批唐宋时期的墓葬,出土各类陶瓷器近三百件。其中包括一批三彩器物,虽然数量不多,但仍可分为唐三彩和宋三彩两类。所谓唐三彩是一种盛行于唐代的低温彩釉陶器的总称。它以细腻的白色黏土作胎料,其釉色虽呈黄、绿、蓝、白、紫、褐等多种色彩,但多以黄、绿、白三色釉为主,甚至有的器物只具有上述色彩中的一种或两种,但人们统称它们为“唐
