Objective To assess the feasibility and safety of dorsal paired flap dilators embedded in a live miniature pig experimental animal model. Methods A total of 6 Guangxi Bama miniature pigs weighing 10 ~ 12kg were selected. Six pigs with a 5-mm × 7cm, 100-mL burr were designed on each side of the back. The dorsal spine Right surgery as a control group. Results The flap survival rate in the experimental group was significantly different from that in the control group (P <0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the survival rate between the expanded flaps (P> 0.05). Conclusion The dorsal paired flaps embedded dilator is a suitable model for the study of dilatation flaps because of its stable flap survival rate and individual differences in miniature pig model.
