根据侧边抛磨光纤(SPF)倏逝波场泄漏机理,将可变光衰减器(VOA)与光功率监测器(OPM)集成在一段光纤上,研制成功了全光纤集成化光功率监控器(OPMC)。采用普通通信光纤作为波导基底,设计了基于双孔侧边抛磨光纤的光功率监控器的基本结构和制作工艺。在双孔侧边抛磨光纤的第一个侧边抛磨孔制作全光纤可变光衰减器,第二侧边抛磨孔制作全光纤光功率监测器,将二者集成制作在一段光纤上,成为可同时实现光纤中光功率的监测和控制双功能的一个全光纤集成化光电器件。实验表明,器件的典型值为插入损耗0.7 dB,衰减范围0~52 dB,波长相关损耗0.2 dB,偏振相关损耗0.17 dB,光电转换效率大于100 mA/W。该全光纤集成化器件具有制作工艺简单、体积小、成本低、可实现电子控制等优点。 According to the evanescent wave field leakage mechanism of side polished optical fiber (SPF), a variable optical attenuator (VOA) and an optical power monitor (OPM) are integrated on a piece of optical fiber to develop a fully optical integrated optical power monitor (OPMC). The all-fiber integrated device has the advantages of simple manufacturing process, small size, low cost and electronic control.
