本文分析了我国大陆六十年代以来发生的十二次七级以上强震。这十二次强震就其余震序列的活动特征大致可分为两类:“缓慢衰减型”,和“急剧衰减型”。阐述了两类地震序列的活动特点和发震机制,提出:认识同类序列中各次地震的共同特征,可为强余震的预报和大震后的地震趋势估计提供依据。
This article analyzes the 12 strong earthquakes above the level of seven occurred in mainland China since the 1960s. The 12 strong earthquakes can be broadly divided into two types on the basis of the characteristics of their aftershock sequences: “slowly decaying type” and “sharp decaying type.” The characteristics and seismogenic mechanism of two kinds of seismic sequences are expounded. It is pointed out that recognizing the common features of all the earthquakes in the same sequence can provide the basis for the prediction of strong aftershocks and the estimation of the earthquake tendency after the earthquake.
