香港海关的历史:香港海关的前身为香港出入口管理处,成立于1909年,初期主负责保障税收的工作。1949年出入口管理处与物料供应署、贸易署及工业署合并成工商署。1962年成立工商署缉私队,1977年改称香港海关。1982年8月1日成为独立的政府部门。香港回归后,海关关长更成为了香港特别行政区的主要官员之一:须由香港特别行政区行政长官提名,报请中华人民共和国中央人民政府任命。现任香港海关关长为张云正。
History of Hong Kong Customs: Hong Kong Customs, formerly known as the Import and Export Administration of Hong Kong, was established in 1909, initially responsible for tax protection. In 1949, the Import and Export Administration was merged with the Supplies Department, Trade Department and Industry Department into the Trade and Industry Department. The anti-smuggling unit of the Trade and Industry Department was established in 1962 and renamed as the Customs and Excise Department in 1977. August 1, 1982 to become an independent government department. After the return of Hong Kong, the Commissioner of Customs has become one of the key officials of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region: he must be nominated by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and submitted to the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China for appointment. The incumbent Commissioner of Customs and Excise is Zhang Yunzheng.
