新汶矿业集团是中国企业500强之一,前身为新汶矿务局,始建于1956年,1997年12月改为公司制企业,2000年7月注册成立新汶矿业集团,是一个以国有资产为主体,多种所有制并存,以煤为主,多种产业共同发展的大型企业集团,集团现有11个生产矿井,6个洗煤厂,年产原煤1200万吨以上,设计能力600万吨/年的巨野龙固新区正在开发建设中。矿区煤种主要有气煤、气肥煤、肥煤等。
