淮北市位于安徽省北部,豫、皖、苏三省交界处,辖一县三区及七个省级经济技术开发区,总面积2741平方公里,人口217.9万人,其中城区人口67.97万,建成区面积85.2平方公里。城市基础完备,功能健全,环境优美,生态良好,城市之中的绿化覆盖率已经是达到44.98%,然而绿地率则是在43.76%,人均的公园绿地面积则是在16.72平方米。先后荣获国家园林城市、创建全国文明城市先进城市、国家采煤塌陷复垦示范区、全国绿化模范城市等荣誉称号。
