江淮苏北二十二万人民直接参加担架运输支前工作 [华中支前支社三十日电]江淮、苏北两解放区二十二万民工劳动人民,参加担架运输,支援淮海前线人民解放大军胜利作战。新老解放区还有更多群众日夜为前方磨面和短途转送,各地群众由数十里到四五百里,由区、县、分区分别集中,再沿几条主要运输线每天把八十万斤以上的米面送到前线。全线每天有十三万二千多辆小车子,一辆接着一辆,轮番地在路上奔走转运、起卸。在每一个粮食转运站周围,从傍晚到大天亮,每条大路小路上都汇成了人流车流,忙碌地在起卸和装运粮食,每晚有一万到二万民工和车子住满了粮站周围的村庄。恢复不久的江淮二分区每天后方磨面的约有四万一千五百余人,光由县里送米面到分区,每天即需七万三千七百辆小车的运输力,加上已出发的担架民工,该分区前后方使用民力已达十三万三千人以上。江淮三分区过去是游击区,这次战役中收复睢宁,打下宿县、灵壁,迅速打开局面,人口由
