宋永平(以下简称“宋”):中国的20世纪80年代末90年代初那个时期各种思潮兴起,实际上你是反着来的,那时什么材料啊、突破原来的框架啊、不按着那个规矩来什么的,而你实际上那个时候走了一个相反的道路。苏新平(以下简称“苏”):20世纪80年代末兴起的艺术思潮虽然是我一直关注的并且有所参与的,但并没有去跟随,如果说逆潮流而动的话,那也只能说是我想做的事恰好是潮流抛弃的东西,我认为我的方式在本质上与当代艺术是有不谋而合的东西的。
Song Yongping: In the late 1980s and early 1990s, all kinds of thoughts emerged in China. In fact, you came back in antipode. What materials then broke through the original framework?
