在当前信息社会中,从事不同职业的人们,都在时刻关心自身安全健康的信息。那末,信息从何而来呢? 书籍、报纸、刊物、电视、广播等均是传播信息的重要手段,人正从中接受各种职业与健康的信息。殊不知,时今采用微型计算机、数据库、现代通讯设备相结合的信息网,把信息社会搞活了。数据库是信息聚集的场所。是存贮、检索、管理信息的。涉及职业与健康的信息数据库已经是不少了。现举例说明如下: 美国毒物登记数据库,登录的化学品约十万种,每种化学品均有刺激性数据、致突变性数据、致肿瘤据、对生殖的效应数据、毒性数据等,并作出相应评论,制定法规。
