Ji Qiu-mei's office is at an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level. During her research on yaks, she went to a height of nearly 6,000 meters above sea level and continued her work after receiving two cardiac surgeries. In the late summer of 1984, Southwestern National Institute of Chengdu ushered in a Tibetan newborn, but the girl just came to school to go home, homesick tears spinning in his eyes. More than 20 years later, this Tibetan student is a scientific worker who has made some achievements. She is often invited to attend conferences and present her own experiences, but she still has not left her hometown of Tibet. The Tibetan girl of that year was Ji Qiu-mei, who is now the deputy director of the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of the Tibet Autonomous Region. She mainly studies Tibetan yak production systems.
