The Institute of Talent Science of China Mechanical Engineering Society held its first annual meeting in Xingcheng, Liaoning Province, from September 22 to August 27, 1987. Participants at the conference included representatives from China Mechanical Engineering Society, Personnel and Labor Department of State Commission of Machinery Industry, Science and Technology Department, College Student Management Department of State Education Commission, machinery departments (bureaus) of some provinces and cities, universities, research institutes and industrial enterprises Unit representatives and dissertation authors.
