On the eve of the Japanese invasion of China, I saw in the “Lecture on Serious Service” that the Division should have 500 maps and 5 topographical sites in combat areas. Can be seen that the Japanese military operations in the topography of the area. In 1926, when Japanese military officials Yoshitani Aoyasu, Itagaki Shiro, and Toshihiko Harada taught at the Chinese Army University, they inspected each of the ports along the Great Wall in north China and conducted geocentric reconnaissance. Since then these people have all been promoted to division chiefs and become the vanguard of invading China. I have a handful of Chinese topographies written by the former Japanese army and I have also seen the topographies of the soldiers compiled by the Japanese army invaded by China. From this perspective, we can also understand from historical military militancy the ambitions of the Japanese militarists in their invasion of China.
