钳工这个行业在中国有着很长的历史,清朝末年的洋务运动,引进了西方的工业文明,伴随着现代工业技术的传播,中国也有了钳工。一百多年过去了,这个职业还存在着,说明社会对它的需求仍然存在,只是工作性质有了一些变化而已。现在的钳工不仅仅是和金属打交道,它还广泛地服务于电气、化工产业等现代化产业,甚至连最时尚的网络也离不开钳工。应该说:对于钳工这个职业,只要有工业生产,就会有它的存在。
