在电化学研究和分析中,常常需要搅拌电解质溶液。搅拌方式有多种,而以旋转电极为好。用旋转圆盘的表面作为反应表面时,已导得了计算扩散层厚度的关系式。圆盘上扩散边界层的厚度,除圆盘的边缘以外,在整个圆盘表面上均相同。故旋转圆盘电极适用于在实验条件下研究电极过程动力学。此外,旋转圆盘电极的表面也很容易进行抛光处理;便于在流动溶液或恒温条件下使用;灵敏度高、重现性好。因此旋转圆盘电极在电化学研究和分析中得到了广泛应用。
In electrochemical research and analysis, it is often necessary to stir the electrolyte solution. There are many ways of mixing, but the rotating electrode is better. When the surface of a rotating disk is used as the reaction surface, the relation for calculating the thickness of the diffusion layer has been derived. The thickness of the diffusion boundary layer on the disk is the same across the entire disk surface except for the edge of the disk. Therefore, the rotating disk electrode is suitable for studying electrode process kinetics under experimental conditions. In addition, the surface of the rotating disk electrode is also very easy to polish; easy to use in mobile solution or constant temperature conditions; high sensitivity, good reproducibility. Therefore, the rotating disk electrode has been widely used in electrochemical research and analysis.
