根据韩礼德的理论交际的其中一个目的就是与其他人交互式的互相影响,从而与其建立和保持一种合适的社会关系。本文借助韩礼德的人际功能学说,对小说中《傲慢与偏见》的第一章里班内特先生和班内特太太的对话进行解析,涉及的内容包括交际中发话者与受话者的角色、情态等;并发现人际功能不仅能揭示人物之间微妙的关系,还能进一步为小说赋予更深的问题意义和美学内涵。
One of the purposes of Halliday’s theoretical communication is to interact interactively with others to establish and maintain a proper social relationship with them. This article, based on Halliday’s interpersonal function theory, analyzes the dialogue between Mr. Bannet and Mrs. Bennet in the first chapter of “Pride and Prejudice” in the novel, including the roles of the speaker and the receiver in communication, Modality, etc .; and found that interpersonal function can not only reveal the subtle relationship between the characters, but also to further give the novel a deeper sense of meaning and aesthetic connotation.
