郑州西南,距市区6公里处,尖岗村西,贾鲁河上,有一碧波荡漾,浩瀚壮阔的人工湖,此即当今郑州市最大的蓄水工程——尖岗水库。贾鲁河渊源于战国时的鸿沟,古称汴水、汴河、通济渠,后因元朝工部尚书贾鲁治河而得名。其干流源出密县圣水峪,沿途有著名的三李温泉、冰泉及胡家池、申家池汇入,集流成河,蜿蜒而下,经郑州西、北郊,折而向东。水库上游,干流河长20.4公里,坝上右岸500米处,另有九娘娘庙河汇入,控制流域面积113平方公里。
