In order to investigate the spleen size of the plateau residents and the causes of this phenomenon, the author sorted out and measured the CT images of the spleens of 176 resident and migrants in different elevations (2260m ~ 4200m). The results showed that spleen was relatively small in the relative relatives of immigrants and the spleen of migrants was larger than that of the migrants (P <0.05). In the plateau area, the spleens of the settlers and migrants did not increase with altitude, Meanwhile, the spleen sizes of normal adults and males and females in the area of 2260m ~ 4200m above sea level were also calculated, which laid the foundation for further study on spleen function of plateau residents.
