For first-order M~a(?)subsystem in a complex reaction system containing irreversible reactions,the charac- ter of the only observable straight line reaction path in two dimensional coordinates has been observed.A mathematical expression of ray vector as an implicit function of rate constants has been derived.Taking ad- vantage of the expression as a set of linear equality constraints,the relative rate constants of hydroisomerization of C_(?)-aromatics were determined by use of flexible tolerance polyhedron procedure.It has been proved that the uncertainty of the estimated results by curve-fitting technique can be reduced because of these constraints. The ray vector constraints method provides an effective means for parameter estimation of M~a(?)first-order reac- t ion system.
