Chapter IV Determination of the Range of Clinical Normal Value In clinical diagnosis, prevention, and research work, it is often required to divide the boundaries between normal and abnormal through the measurement results of laboratory tests. The normal value refers to various physiological constants of normal people, contents of various components in body fluids, excrement, and the like. Due to individual differences and environmental factors, these measurement data will also change accordingly. In addition, a large number of new inspection indicators and methods have emerged, and the formulation of normal value ranges is even more urgent. Therefore, the method of determining the range of clinical normal values is quite versatile. According to the characteristics of data frequency distribution of data, there are multiple statistical methods to determine the normal range. In the case of normal or near-normal distribution data, the mean plus or minus standard deviation method can be used; skewed distribution (frequency distribution
