文献计量学的原理和方法已广泛运用于学术机构的科研态势评价的实证分析中。以《中国期刊全文数据库》为数据源,通过对1998～2007年广西师范大学生命科学学院发表的学术论文进行统计分析,表明该机构经过10年的努力,其科技规模总体态势向好,科研质量得到大幅提升。
