崖脚西汉大墓位于重庆市忠县老县城东北3千米的忠州镇郑公村。墓葬修建在沿江的缓坡台地上,海拔135—170米。1994年2—5月,为配合长江三峡水库淹没区地下文物的保护工作,北京大学三峡考古队对这座墓葬进行了发掘。崖脚西汉大墓为长方形竖穴木椁墓,出土各类文物67件。其中,陶器43件、铜器20件、铁器4件。进一步的研究表明,此墓的年代属西汉中期,墓内随葬品除有巴、楚两种文化因素外,也具有较鲜明的汉文化特征,这一发现为研究渝东地区巴、楚文化的关系及汉文化的形成提供了重要资料。
Cliff foot West Han Dynasty tomb is located in Zhongxian County, Chongqing City, 3 kilometers northeast of Chungju Zhen Gong Village. The tombs were built on gentle slope platforms along the river at an altitude of 135-170 meters. From February to May 1994, in order to support the protection of the underground cultural relics in the inundation area of the Three Gorges Reservoir in the Yangtze River, this tomb was excavated by the Three Gorges Archeology Team of Peking University. Cliff foot West Han Dynasty tombs for the rectangular erected wooden tomb, unearthed 67 kinds of artifacts. Among them, 43 pottery, bronze 20, iron 4. Further research shows that the tomb of this tomb belongs to the mid-Western Han Dynasty. In addition to the cultural factors of Ba and Chu, the tomb funerary objects also have distinctive features of Han culture. This finding is of great significance for the study of the culture of Pakistan and Chu in eastern Chongqing Relationship and the formation of Chinese culture provides important information.
