在1997年1月14日至18日召开的全国宣传部长会议上,丁关根同志提出了做好当前和今后一个时期宣传思想工作必须遵循的基本要求:(一)高举旗帜,牢记指针,以邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论为主心骨。马列主义、毛泽东思想和邓小平理论一脉相承,是统一的科学体系,邓小平理论是当代中国发展了的马克思主义,是我们的主心骨。高举邓小平理论的旗帜,坚持党的基本路线,是做好宣传思想工作的根本经验,必须长期坚持,毫不动摇。(二)保持一致,服务大局,坚定不移
At the national propaganda ministerial meeting held from January 14 to January 18, 1997, Comrade Ding Guangen put forward the basic requirements that must be followed in propaganda and ideological work for the current and in the forthcoming period: (1) Holding high the banner, bearing in mind the guiding principle and building Deng Xiaoping Mainstay is the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory come down in the same line, which is a unified scientific system. Deng Xiaoping Theory is the Marxism developed in contemporary China and is the backbone of our own. Holding high the banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory and upholding the Party’s basic line are the basic experiences in doing propaganda and ideological work. We must uphold and unswervingly do so.
