1991年的上海出版工作,坚持党的“一个中心,两个基本点”的基本路线,坚持贯彻“一手抓整顿、一手抓繁荣”和深化改革、扩大开放的方针,经过全市出版界广大干部群众的共同努力,取得了较大的成绩。但我们也清醒地看到,上海的出版工作还存在着一些不容忽视的问题与不足,主要表现有:(1)在图书出版方面,深入研究马列主义、毛泽东思想具有较高水平和常备长销的著作较少;能够代表国内最高水平的社会科学学术著作,尤其是研究现实改革开放、时代感强的学术著作不多;能够达到国内、国际一流水平的自然科学,尤其是高新技术的学术著作很少;深刻反映现实生活的文艺作品和高质量的通俗文艺作品也不多。这种状况同我们所应承担的社会责任是不相适应的。(2)在图书发行方面,发行网点建设尚无大的进展。(3)在书刊印刷方面,远远不能适应需要,印刷技术改造欠帐太多。(4)在物资保障方面,因受市场环境的影响,机制不很适应。(5)在经营管理方面,出版社要确保社会效益与经济效益统一
