在江西赣州的街头巷尾生长着许多美丽苍劲、枝繁叶茂的榕树,它默默地为走过身边的每一个人奉献着绿荫。在赣州也生活着一对有着榕树般情怀的夫妇。丈夫张连惠,市第一医院副院长,主任医师,人称“赣州第一把刀”。他早年毕业于上海医学院,1962年来赣州工作,一干就是30多年。这些年来,他年均做手术100例以上,最多达192例,还做了3000多例计划生育手术,从未出现过差错。精湛的医术使他声名远扬。
