From April 16 to April 18, 1992, the first national symposium on grinding media and wear-resistant materials jointly sponsored by China Mineral Processing Technology Information Network and Ansteel Mining Research Institute was held in Pinggu County. The delegates attending the meeting came from systems such as metallurgy, nonferrous metals, gold, cement, chemicals, electric power and machinery with a total of more than 200. China Nonferrous Metals Society beneficiation academic committee honorary chairman, well-known mineral processing expert Zhang Maojun professor-level senior engineer presided over the opening ceremony.
