2008年1月5日清晨,清华大学美术学院教授、明式家具学会名誉会长、北京理工大学设计艺术学院中国家具学系主任陈增弼先生在北京病逝,享年74岁。2008年1月12日上午,由明式家具学会主办,清华大学美术学院和北京理工大学设计艺术学院承办的“陈增弼教授追思会”在北京理工大学设计艺术学院报告厅举行。明式家具学会会员、陈教授的家属及生前好友、中国家具界的同仁、清华大学美术学院和北京理工大学设计艺术学院的师生等各界人士参加了追思会。本刊节选刊载了会议上部分与会者的发言,以表追思。
In the early morning of January 5, 2008, Chen Zengbi, a professor at the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University and honorary president of the Ming Furniture Institute, and director of the Chinese Furniture Department of the School of Design and Art at Beijing Institute of Technology died in Beijing at the age of 74. The morning of January 12, 2008, organized by the Ming Furniture Association, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and the Beijing Institute of Technology Design Institute of Arts hosted the “Professor Chen Zengbi memorial meeting” was held in Beijing Institute of Technology Design Institute of the Arts lecture hall. Ming Furniture Association, Professor Chen’s family and friends, Chinese furniture colleagues, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Design teachers and students from all walks of life attended the memorial meeting. The publication of the journal published some of the participants at the meeting’s statement to memorize.
