约瑟夫﹒库苏斯说,所有的艺术在杜尚之后都是观念的,因为艺术只能以观念的方式存在。观念艺术并不是突然才有的,它早就孕育在艺术中。观念艺术是艺术发展到一定阶段的产物。而观念艺术对别的艺术样式的影响广阔而深远。它对素描的影响使得今天的素描在很多方面呈现出新的特点。今天的素描形式更加多样,素描的面貌也发生很大改观。素描本体的独立,材料媒介的更新,素描与别的艺术形式的融合日益密切等等。素描的发展以及语言的演化也必须适应这样的语境才有它的价值,而这种演化也是在继承以前传统的基础上才有的。受观念艺术影响下的素描更具有时代气息,更好的表达今天人的精神状态及其它。观念的介入使得今天的素描不仅仅是以原来的方式呈现出来,而更多的是与别的艺术形式相结合,并呈现出以下的一些特点。
