复信吕师真同志:来信及附件均已认真读过,这里就来谈谈我的一些看法。我认为,毛泽东的有关论述表达了他作为一位无产阶级革命家的世界观和人生观,这是任凭如何巧舌如簧也歪曲不了的。(一)关于“一不怕苦,二不怕死”的论述。毛泽东这方面的有关论述,是提倡革命英雄主义精神,根本不是什么不珍惜人民的生命,更不是号召人们去作无谓的牺牲。——这是连小学生都懂得的道理,无须赘述。毛泽东说的“要奋斗就会有牺牲,死人的事是经常发生的……”这段话,是在《为人民服务》这篇讲演中悼念为革命牺牲的一名普通战士张思德同志时讲的,原话是:
