The thesis explores the similarity and difference in Theme - Rheme structure between English and Chinese language through Analects of Confucius with its English translation. The thesis also inspects the differences between these two languages from the perspective of mental patterns,expression customs and information distribution to investigate strategies of the mutual translation.
