R.A. Brown’s presentation in the 1980 meeting of the American Institute of Mining Engineers in Las Vegas states that the precipitation of uranium by hydrogen peroxide is a selective chemical reaction that produces very pure uranium yellow cakes. Brown pointed out in the report that the application of hydrogen peroxide precipitation should be addressed because of the need to treat low grade ore due to increased uranium demand
