江泽民同志在党的十四大报告中指出“物质文明和精神文明都搞好,才是有中国特色的社会主义”,要求“把社会主义精神文明建设提高到新水平”。十四届四中全会《决定》中充分肯定了这方面的成果。两年多来,我省各级党组织、政府在贯彻落实党的十四大精神过程中,为加强精神文明建设做了大量工作,效果是明显的。但是也有一些地方由于种种原因,精神文明建设离“新水平”还有很大差距,需要狠下功夫。怎样才能把社会主义精神文明建设提高到新水平呢?
Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out in his report to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party: “Both material civilization and spiritual civilization are doing well, and there is socialism with Chinese characteristics.” They demand “raising the socialist spiritual civilization to a new level.” The Fourth Plenary Session of the 14th Plenary Session fully affirmed the achievements in this regard. In the past two years or so, party organizations and governments at all levels in our province have done a great deal of work in strengthening the building of a spiritual civilization in the course of implementing the spirit of the 14th CPC National Congress. The effect is obvious. However, in some places, due to various reasons, there is still a long way to go before the building of spiritual civilization leaves the “new level” and requires a lot of efforts. How to raise the socialist spiritual civilization to a new level?
