据日《光新时代》创刊号87介绍:台湾以电信总局(DGT)为中心,正加紧推进1990年代实现ISDN的目标。台湾当局认为通信是经济开发的极为重要的基础,因此在1984年开始的第二个六年计划中大幅度扩充了通信网。从去年开始已着手网络的数字化,估计1990年将在三个大城市间开始ISDN服务。该数字化从传输部分开始并积极推进交换机的数字化,拟引进AT&T
According to the “Light New Era” first issue 87 Introduction: Taiwan, with the DGT as the center, is stepping up the goal of realizing ISDN in the 1990s. According to the Taiwan authorities, communications are a very important foundation for economic development. As a result, the communications network has been greatly expanded in the second six-year plan that began in 1984.
